Flash Gordon (TV Series) Michael Picton – Composer Starring Eric Johnson, Gina Holden, Karen Cliche, Jody Racicot, John Ralston and Anna Van Hooft. Developed and Produced by Peter Hume. Michael Picton composed the original score for season 1 of RHI Entertainment's sci-fi adventure series Flash Gordon. Developed in 2007 for the Sci Fi Network, this contemporary retelling of the comic book classic finds a youthful Stephen "Flash" Gordon traveling to the planet Mongo with an entourage of fellow adventurers in search of his long lost father. Through twenty-two episodes, Flash and his pals team up with numerous indigenous tribes on Mongo and battle their way through hordes of unearthly villains, all the way to the evil ruler himself: Ming the Merciless. The score to Flash Gordon embraces everything from classic orchestral action to electroclash. Flash Gordon began airing on Sci Fi Network in the US in August 2007 and on the Sci Fi Network UK in March 2008. In addition to its US and UK releases, Flash Gordon will be aired internationally on TeleMunchen in Germany; Sci Fi Italy, Sci Fi France, Sci Fi Spain, Sci Fi Benelux; TV6 in Sweden; M-Net in South Africa; Creative Programs in the Philippines; and Genex Entertainment in India.
