VH1 Hip Hop Honors (TV Special) Michael Picton – Composer Theme composed by Michael Picton and Disco D Expansion Team artists Michael Picton and Disco D have teamed up to compose the theme music to the 2005 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Awards show, to be broadcast on Sept. 26, 2005 from New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The event will be hosted by Run DMC's Reverend Run and hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons. Among the acts set to perform are Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Missy Elliott, Eve, Common and Jazzy Jeff. They will salute such hip-hop legends as LL Cool J, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, the Notorious B.I.G., Ice-T, Big Daddy Kane and Salt-N-Pepa.
